The Blessing Ranch is conveniently located about 35 miles northwest of Fort Collins and just north of Livermore, off of U.S. Highway 287. The ranch is approximately 90 miles from Denver International Airport (DIA).
This very unique property consists of 166 acres. The majority of the land is rolling hills of mountain grass rangeland, shallow, traversable ravines and canyons, a spring fed stream with steeper mountain and plateau sides. Stonewall Creek, the seasonal creek, meanders through the center of the property. There are two wells that serve the Blessing Ranch. This is an ideal cattle grazing ranch, with good pasture area, canyon shelter and native grass. Deer shelter in the canyons and the bowl of Red Nose Mountain.
The ranch is blessed with beautiful views of the Mummy Range in Rocky Mountain National Park as well as the Laramie Mountains, which lie within the Roosevelt National Forest to the west. To the southwest are unusual rock formations referred to as Red Nose Mountain and Steamboat Rock.
This 7,300 sq. ft. building is truly a multi-functional building and the heart of the social activities on the ranch. The modest exterior belies the beauty, quality and functionality of the interior. It is currently being used as a home based, counseling, rest and retreat for selected guests. To support this not for profit work there is an office, a large fire-proof file room and four private rooms designated as “studies” for meeting with guests or study area.

The 4,700 sq. ft. Isaiah House has a vaulted ceiling in the gathering room (40’ x 35’) which also could function as a lecture hall or social meeting place. A floor to ceiling wall of windows frames the inspiring views and floods the room with natural light. There is a complete overhead video projector system with an 8’ x 10 ‘ drop down screen, surround sound, and two ½ baths for guests.
On the main level are complete living quarters which include a full kitchen, dining room, living room, two bedrooms and two full bathrooms. On the upper level there are two bedrooms and two full bathrooms.
With a total of 4,300 square feet, 4,000 of which are finished, the house is of the finest quality. The first things you will notice are the magnificent Brazilian and blonde teak floors. All cabinetry and wood trim, throughout the house, are of the highest quality and craftsmanship. The kitchen, remodeled in 2007, has granite counter tops, a spacious and functional island and top quality appliances. The open floor plan warmly incorporates the kitchen, dining room, and living room with a wood stove.
The master bedroom is a retreat unto itself and features a gas fireplace, five piece bathroom, and a large walk-in closet. In addition there is a sitting / reading area complete with a coffee bar and its own gas fireplace. A sliding glass door provides access to an outdoor covered porch and a very spacious courtyard beyond with expansive views of the imposing mountains in the distance. The courtyard can also be accessed from the kitchen. A wrap-around deck, with maintenance free composite decking, encompasses about two thirds of the house. In the second courtyard you will find a custom made Texas smoker and an authentic Italian wood fired pizza oven.
Additional rooms include a second bedroom with an adjoining full bathroom that doubles as the guest bathroom, an elegantly finished and spacious den, and laundry room. The finished portion of the lower level has a family room, wine cellar, an ample size bedroom, fitness room or additional bedroom, full bathroom, Wood stove and a study. With approximately 2,500 sq. ft. the Guest House includes a wall of windows in the great room that provide striking views of Red Nose Mountain, Steamboat Rock and the snow capped peaks of the Mummy Range in Rocky Mountain National Park. The house has four bedrooms, all with full private bathrooms and a large country kitchen.
There are two barns with shop/tack areas on the property. The first barn / workshop, which is adjacent to the main residence and the guest house, is 72’ x 42’. It contains three stalls and a large work and equipment area. There is plenty of room to add more stalls or livestock shelter in this barn.
The second barn is just adjacent to the Outdoor Arena and the Isaiah House. It is 72’ x 36’ with overhangs for livestock shelter and a tack room. Indoor stalls, breeding or calving area can easily be added to this building. In addition, there are two loafing sheds adjoining with pipe fencing, electricity and water. There is enough room to accommodate up to 8 horses or other livestock.
Totally constructed of four rail pipe, the outdoor arena was designed with the roper in mind, but can be used for most any discipline. It is 100’ x 200’ plus it includes a side alleyway and holding areas for cattle along with a chute area. The arena is next to the second barn and loafing sheds with the Stonewall Creek and canyon walls as a backdrop.
Adjoining the Blessing Ranch is the 160 acre unimproved Red Mountain Ranch, also being marketed by Karen Mikkelson and Ted Schaal, which could be purchased and added to increase the possibilities and potential of the Blessing Ranch.
