April 19th, 2009 - "Working for Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) and Local Conservation Districts one thing learned is that we take our basic natural resources for granted. When we look at a landscape, tract or property we see the general view and not the resource, of Soil, or Water, or Animals, or Plants, or Air. We may see the individual animal, tree, stream, mountain, or something pleasing to the eye but the basic resources of Soil, Water, Animals, Plants, and Air (SWAPA) is over looked. Until we see a problem in our view we do not question the individual resource. When we see the gulley erosion, weeds, lack of trees, loss of water, bare soil, dust cloud or the lack of animals then we start to think about the condition of our
resources. The local Conservation District working with the NRCS has a thorough, professional approach to identifying and offering alternative solutions to managing our basic resources.."
