Dale was raised on a beef, hog, row-crop, and alfalfa family farming operation in Michigan. At an early age, Dale realized his love of animals and the magic of medicine was going to lead him into veterinary medicine. After receiving his BS in animal science at Michigan State University, he continued on and received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in the mid ‘70’s. Dale practiced veterinary medicine full time as a country veterinarian for 25 years, owning his own rural mixed-animal practice. As an over-achiever, Dale became a County Commissioner and Chairman of the Board in this same rural community. Dale still practices veterinary medicine for a few friends at his cattle and horse ranch in the mountains overlooking Denver, and he is still involved in local and state politics.
The call of the Rocky Mountains and the cowboy’s affliction of “restless heart syndrome” together were responsible for Dale changing careers and receiving an MBA in Real Estate Development and Finance for his mid-life adventure. Through networking connections, Dale found himself as an Investment Banker after graduation, retiring as a Vice President after seven years.
Dale’s move into ranch marketing was a natural result of the culmination of all of his experiences, work, education, and western lifestyle. Dale pulls in friends and contacts from a wide variety of interests throughout many western states. He is thrilled to have a ranch marketing career that encompasses full use of his many passions in life, and he is proud to be with Mason and Morse Ranch Company.
Outdoor interests include: horse camping and trail riding; cattle drives, brandings, and roping; bird dogs & upland bird hunting; and western historical re-enactment events.
Dale particularly enjoys helping Buyers (both domestic and international) find their dream ranch or farm investment property in the American West. Historically unique ranches in the west are one of Dale’s passions, since he has a deep love of Western Plains’ history and is a Buffalo Bill re-enactor himself.
Memberships include: national, state, & local real estate associations and veterinary associations; local and state cattle and horse associations; hunting and environmental groups; and local and state governmental interests.
