Accessing Chicken Creek Ranch is via Routt County Rd 80 North from Hayden, or on Moffat County Rd 1/Routt County Rd 82 from Slater, Colorado. Slater is 17 miles. Both county roads are well-maintained gravel, but neither are open or plowed to the ranch in the winter. Thus winter access would be via snow coach or other tracked vehicle. The most convenient services would be at Baggs, Wyoming located 34 miles North West of the Ranch. The resort town of Steamboat Springs is another 25 miles East of Hayden. Saratoga, Wyoming is 78 miles north of the ranch.
