Montana is mostly known for it’s Big Sky country, large ranches for recreation and cattle ranches and agricultural farms for production. The Continental Divide splits the majority of the state into the eastern and western regions. In western Montana, as compared with the eastern plains area, winters tend to be milder while summers are cooler. The abundance of natural resources creates an extremely fertile environment for Montana’s largest industry agriculture. Montana has around 28,000 farms and ranches covering more than 60 million acres of the state’s 94 million total acres. Most of Montana is covered by mountain ranges in the Northern Rocky Mountains.  Between mountain ranges are the lush river valleys offering scenic gold medal fly fishing waters, rivers and streams.
