ACREAGE

Deeded land consists of 485 acres and 20,197 acres of National Forest Allotments.  The carrying capacity is 280 AU’s annually, 200 on the forest and the remaining on the deeded and deeded lease.  The ranch has great bio diversity including blue grama, hairy grama, sprucetop grama, sideoats grams, black grama, curly mesquite, Texas timothy, mesquite, mountain mahogany, cliff rose, and manzanita.  The most prevalent trees are oak and juniper with some black walnut, cottonwood, and sycamore. The ranch is watered by dirt tanks, three wells and pipeline, seasonal live water, and spring water.        

WILDLIFE

The area is known for its Mearns’ quail and Coues deer but also has good populations of Mule deer, javelina and lots of other small game.  Sonoita and Patagonia has long drawn bird watchers as well as hunters.
