LOCATION

The ranch’s deeded ground is on the south end of the ranch and is accessed off the Red Rock Canyon Road and only a 10 minute drive from Patagonia. The headquarters is only 1 ½ hours from the Tucson International Airport. The forest allotment runs north of the headquarters.

OPERATIONS AND IMPROVEMENTS

The Saddle Up Ranch has been operated as a cattle ranch with extensive newly built improvements.  Separated into six pastures on the Forest and the headquarters land used as traps, this ranch is set up for fluid rotation and handling of livestock.  A combined 150,000 gallons of water storage scattered throughout the ranch and in each pasture with multiple drinkers off each storage makes this ranch very well watered.  Seasonal live water, spring water and dirt tanks are also scattered throughout. There are four branding traps and four wells.

The main livestock pens at the Headquarters are built out of steel that has a sorting alley, powder river squeeze chute with a hay barn, tack room, workshop, and horse pens nearby.

The home is a two-bedroom, one-bathroom, 1,600 square foot home with wrap around porches.

WILDLIFE

The area is known for mearns quail and great coues deer hunting. Javelina, mule deer, bobcat, mountain lion, fox, dove, and other wildlife are prevalent in the area.
